My name is Shakima Bacon, I am also a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I am a compassionate and reliable companion caregiver with over 12 years of experience working as a caregiver in the behavioral, mental and nursing home setting.

I have always been inspired to pursue a career in caregiving, and helping others after taking care of my grandmother. That experience impacted me deeply. I learned the profound effect a nurturing environment and dedicated care can have on a person’s well-being.

I find immense joy in building meaningful connections with the people I assist. It has always been my passion to help others in anyway I can. My primary focus is making my clients feel comfortable and respected allowing them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

I provide a range of services including transportation to appointments, dietary specifics meal preparation, assisting with daily living activities, and light house keeping. I assist my clients with errands and ensuring that a client’s home environment is always clean and safe. I am comfortable assisting clients with mobility challenges and I comfortably handle difficult situations with patience and a positive attitude.

On personal notes, I am a very active mother and enjoy watching my son play football. I love listening to music and taking walks on the beach. I love connecting with people by simply sharing stories. It is the moments of genuine connections that make my work so rewarding.
